Running for First Selectman, STEVE DUNN has called Brookfield home for more than forty years. A former three-term First Selectman, Steve's first term was spent leading Brookfield out of a budget crisis and back to financial stability. After restoring fiscal discipline, Steve successfully led our town through both the pandemic and the devastation of the 2018 macroburst. Steve Dunn has a long record of keeping our town safe and on secure financial footing.
With an MBA from Fordham, Steve has had a successful career as a senior VP with JP Morgan, with a portfolio spanning the entire western hemisphere. Steve and his wife, Cassie, raised four kids (all Brookfield public school graduates) in our town. He's volunteered with the Jaycees, the Boy Scouts, the Brookfield Baseball Association, and more.
Running for Selectman, BOB BELDEN has served Brookfield for more than two decades. He was first elected to the Board of Finance in 2003, where he served for eight years, four as chair, before being elected to the Board of Education in 2015. As chair, Bob has successfully led the Candlewood Lake Elementary project, which opens this year.
Bob is a graduate of Dartmouth and Harvard, and built a successful four-decade career as a VP at IBM. Retired since last year, Bob and his family have lived in Brookfield since 1988. His wife, Janice, taught middle school science at St. Joseph's. Together, they have five adult children and nine grandchildren.
Meet Steve Dunn & Bob Belden
Meet the Team for Brookfield's Future
Restore Civility
Brookfield is a great place to live. But recently, town politics have been looking more like Washington, D.C., than the town we love. Steve and Bob will restore civility to Town Hall, so we can continue to be proud of the place we call home.
Manage Development
Significant capital investments like a new police station, the new library, and new athletic fields are on the way. We need an experienced team in place to keep development on track, on schedule, and on budget.
Honest Budgeting
With decades of experience in both global and municipal finance between them, Steve Dunn and Bob Belden are uniquely positioned to deliver an honest budget at the lowest possible cost to Brookfield taxpayers.
